Soccer Recap: Summerville's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Summerville entered their match against Merced on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Summerville Bears fell 2-0 to the Merced Bears. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Summerville came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Merced is ranked 664th).

Summerville's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for Merced, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5-2.
