St. Augustine Prep (Richland, N.J.) defeat Vineland (N.J.) 48-6 after a strong game from
Calvin Cass, who rushed for six touchdowns. The scores gave the senior nine touchdowns for the year.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Cass in the first quarter, the Hermits led 28-6 at the half.
St. Augustine Prep expanded its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. SAP scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Cass.
The Fighting Clan's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the second quarter.
The Richland school also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 19-8.
In a Cape-Atlantic - National game next week St. Augustine Prep (2-0) takes on Ocean City, and Vineland (0-2) will go up against Middle Township also in a Cape-Atlantic - National game.
