Recap: Seton Catholic Sentinels vs. Valley Vista Monsoon
The Seton Catholic Sentinels entered their tilt with the Valley Vista Monsoon with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Seton Catholic strolled past Valley Vista with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 64-47. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as Seton Catholic did.
Seton Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julian Garcia, who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was Garcia's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Gio Barone was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Several Monsoon players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Diego Moorehead, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Cosio, who scored 9 points.
Seton Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Valley Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
