Volleyball Recap: North Star Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Star can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Bedford Bisons on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Bisons: they've now lost three in a row.

North Star was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Bedford work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24, 15-25, 25-17.

Brooke Cannin paced North Star's offense, picking up 12 kills. Cannin got some help from Ella Hurley and her 29 assists. Cannin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Leading Bedford to victory were Rylee Lybarger and Taylor Magill. Lybarger had 19 assists, while Magill had 15 digs and two aces. Lily Zembower also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

North Star's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Bedford, their victory bumped their record up to 12-14.

As of now, neither North Star nor the Bisons have any future games scheduled.
