Football Recap: St. Patrick Comes Up Short

St. Patrick lost against Tylertown back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fighting Irish had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Chiefs. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Chiefs are ranked 90th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tylertown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jermaine Pittman, who rushed for 57 yards and two scores on only six carries, and also picked up 63 receiving yards and one touchdown.all of that, receiving production came thanks to one massive catch Another passer making a difference was Keonnis Davis, who threw for 185 yards and one TD.

St. Patrick's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Tylertown, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

St. Patrick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tylertown, they will venture away from home to take on Presbyterian Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Davis and Smith Stringer.
