Volleyball Recap: Standing Bear Starts Season with Victory Against Blair

Standing Bear had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Blair Bears 3-0 on Thursday. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Standing Bear won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 25-11.

Despite the loss, Blair saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addi Svehla had 18 digs.

Coming up, Standing Bear will take on Lincoln Northwest on Thursday. As for Blair, they will square off against Fremont-Mills at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
