Recap: Garden City Buffaloes vs. Lamar Thunder
After a string of five wins, the Garden City Buffaloes's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Lamar by a score of 24-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Garden City has scored all season.
Lamar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tatum Milenski, who scored seven points along with eight steals and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Milenski has scored at least 25% of Lamar's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Robbins, who scored 11 points.
Garden City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Lamar, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Garden City will play host again and welcome Laverne, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lamar will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Colorado Springs Christian.
