Volleyball Recap: Pickerington North's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Pickerington North came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Newark Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Friday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Pickerington North took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-8, 25-10.

Pickerington North was led to victory by Jordan Dyer and Drew Vensko. Dyer had 17 aces, while Vensko had six aces and three digs. What's more, Vensko posted three kills, the most he's had over his last six contests. Aloni Goitom also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Pickerington North was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 26 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in six consecutive games.

Pickerington North pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Newark, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
