Volleyball Recap: Weeping Water Comes Up Short

Weeping Water was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cedar Bluffs Wildcats. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Weeping Water saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ella Huskey had 13 digs and two aces.

Weeping Water's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Cedar Bluffs, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

Weeping Water didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Falls City on the 23rd. As for Cedar Bluffs, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Elmwood-Murdock on the 23rd.
