Soccer Preview: Andrew vs. Lincoln-Way West        
        
		
             The Andrew Thunderbolts will head out on the road to  take on  the Lincoln-Way West Warriors  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Andrew will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
 Andrew is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Illinois' top teams: Lincoln-Way East, who was ranked ninth  in their home state at the time (Andrew was ranked 16th). While the  1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Andrew who was credited with the  victory on Saturday. Andrew got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Lincoln-Way East's four.  Adam Rutka had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Thunderbolts.
 Lincoln-Way West will bounce into Tuesday's   contest after  beating Minooka, who they hadn't topped in three consecutive meetings. Lincoln-Way West sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  win over Minooka  on Monday. The score was all tied up  1-1 at the break, but the Warriors were the  better team in the second half.
 Andrew's victory was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-3. As for Lincoln-Way West, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-2.
 Andrew took their  victory against Lincoln-Way West  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023 by a conclusive  3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Andrew since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
