Football Game Preview: Toppenish Wildcats vs. Lakewood Cougars + How To Watch

The Toppenish Wildcats will head out to square off against the Lakewood Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Toppenish is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Toppenish lost to Othello at home by a 41-23 margin. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Huskies are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lakewood took on Lynden on Friday. The Cougars took a blow against the Lions, falling 55-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Toppenish's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Toppenish came up short against Lakewood when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 38-28. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
