Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kaylee Mcreynolds and Arria Chatman Lead Mckinney to Victory

McKinney won the last time they faced Northwest and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lions came out on top against the Texans by a score of 2-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leading McKinney to victory were Arria Chatman and Kaylee McReynolds. Chatman had ten digs, while McReynolds had six digs and one assist. That's the most digs Chatman has posted since back in October of 2024.

McKinney now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Northwest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

McKinney and Northwest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Lions will square off against Plano at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (117 vs. 28). Meanwhile, Northwest (ranked 77th) will meet Keller (ranked fifth) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
