There's no place like home for Briggsdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Weldon Valley Warriors on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Warriors on September 5th, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Briggsdale had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-12, 15-9.

Claire Brown paced Briggsdale's offense, picking up 29 kills. Brown got some help from Bailey Loyd and her 50 assists. Presleigh Herrick and Mckinzee Slinger kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isabella Petrino, who had 37 digs. Elyse Anderson was another key player, getting 24 digs.

Briggsdale's record now sits at 2-9. As for Weldon Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Briggsdale and Prairie will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Weldon Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Caliche on the 26th.
