Soccer Recap: Wheeler Comes Up Short

Wheeler fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Etowah on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-4. Wheeler have struggled against Etowah recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Wheeler hit Etowah with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Greyson Arrigo, Abraham Merhai, Arthur Pimentel, and Murilo Lopes.

Wheeler's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Etowah, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wheeler will venture away from home to square off against Cartersville at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Etowah, they will head out to take on North Paulding at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
