Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Addison Randol and Reese Houston Lead Mercy to Victory + How To Watch

Mercy hadn't done well against Sacred Heart recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Jaguars came out on top against the Valkyries by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 22-25, 26-24, 25-19.

Leading Mercy to victory were Reese Houston and Addison Randol. Houston had 17 digs, while Randol had 52 assists and nine digs. Those 52 assists gave Randol a new career-high. Alli Riegling also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Taylor Berger and Taylor Frey certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Berger had nine digs, while Frey had 18 kills and 15 digs. Frey is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season.

Mercy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Sacred Heart, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mercy will take on North Oldham at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sacred Heart, they will square off against Assumption at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
