Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Granada

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Granada ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They beat the Amador Valley Dons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Matadors: when they faced off against the Dons two weeks ago, they had to take a 15-6 loss.

Granada's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.75 runs across that stretch. As for Amador Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Granada will be taking part in a tournament against Benicia at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Amador Valley, they will take on San Ramon Valley in a tournament on Thursday. The last four games the Wolves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
