Academy of Aerospace and Engineering gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Prince RVT Falcons, sneaking past 3-2. This was payback for the Jets, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-99), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 10-25, 25-21, 17-15.

When it comes to explaining why Prince RVT lost, don't look at Rehanna Escalera. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs.

Prince RVT's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
