On Monday, Brentwood School had to settle for second even though Payton Sugar put up the best numbers she has all season. Sugar wasn't messing around, going 9 for 16 en route to 24 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The contest was her third straight with 17 or morepoints. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Sugar and Brentwood School will face off against Palos Verdes at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Sugar's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped Brentwood School's 12-game streak of wins at home.
