Soccer Game Preview: Community Christian vs. Christ Covenant

The Community Christian Cyclones will square off against the Christ Covenant Spartans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Community Christian sitting on eight straight victories and Christ Covenant on five.

Community Christian's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Trinity Christian with a sharp 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for Community Christian, who have now won 12 contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Autumn Bradshaw and Abril Ventura scored all seven of Community Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 36 goals.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Christ Covenant sidestepped Gramercy Christian for a 3-2 victory.

Community Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-1-2. As for Christ Covenant, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3-1.

Community Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Christ Covenant in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cyclones since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
