Baseball Game Preview: Heath Bulldogs vs. Zanesville Blue Devils

The Heath Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Zanesville Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Heath will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Heath got the win against John Glenn by a conclusive 12-2.

Meanwhile, Zanesville came up short against Licking Valley last Friday, falling 9-1. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zanesville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Solomon Norris, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Norris has hit this season.

Heath's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Zanesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Everything went Heath's way against Zanesville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Heath made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
