Recap: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Glades Day Gators
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Royal Palm Beach, the Seminole Ridge Hawks were happy to have found some success on Friday. They really took it to Glades Day for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-35 victory at home. That's another feather in the cap for Seminole Ridge, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Calvin Warren, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliot Petit-Frere, who scored 8 points.
Seminole Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Glades Day, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole Ridge will square off against Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dr. Joaquin Garcia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Seminole Ridge in Florida (Dr. Joaquin Garcia is ranked 305th, while Seminole Ridge is ranked 639th). As for Glades Day, they will head out on the road to face off against Clewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
