Football Game Preview: Dexter Dreadnaughts vs. Franklin Patriots + How To Watch

Dexter is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Franklin is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dreadnaughts will face off against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Dexter's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Dexter against Flushing as the squad secured a 42-12 win. Given the Dreadnaughts' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Raiders are ranked 187th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Franklin played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Northville, falling 35-14. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Franklin moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Dexter, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Dexter barely slipped by Franklin in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, winning 27-26. Will the Dreadnaughts repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
