Baseball Recap: Northwestern Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Maconaquah typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Northwestern proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Braves by a score of 9-5. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Jax Hanson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Dill, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Northwestern pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Maconaquah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.

Northwestern will be playing in front of their home fans against McCutcheon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maconaquah, they are taking a road trip to take on Madison-Grant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Argylls have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
