Softball Recap: Guilderland Takes a Loss

Chatham hit Guilderland with a four-run third inning on Sunday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Flying Dutchmen lost 9-0 to the Panthers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Flying Dutchmen were not able to get on the board.

Guilderland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Griffin, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Abby Conner also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Guilderland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Chatham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.

As of now, neither Guilderland nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
