Softball Game Preview: Choudrant Aggies vs. Many Tigers

The Choudrant Aggies will venture away from home to challenge the Many Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Choudrant has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Choudrant lost 11-1 to Glenbrook on Thursday.

Lakeside typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Many proved too difficult a challenge. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Warriors a 4-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The result came thanks to LarKaye Carter's shutout, as she gave up just two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Many's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Cedars, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Cedars has hit this season. Another was Rylee Gunter, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Many's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Choudrant, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-11.
