Recap: Century Jaguars vs. Glencoe Crimson Tide
The Century Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. Their rough 57-37 defeat to Glencoe might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Century has suffered against Glencoe since January 21, 2020.
Despite the defeat, Century had strong showings from Kami Carmean, who scored 16 points along with two steals, and Alyssa Loza, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 37.8% of Century's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Century's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Glencoe, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
Century won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Forest Grove at 7:15 p.m. on January 24th. Forest Grove is on a six-game streak of home wins, Century a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Glencoe, Glencoe and Sherwood will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sherwood is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
