Basketball Recap: Wyandotte Comes Up Short

Wyandotte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 74-29 loss at the hands of the Washington Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Wildcats are ranked 72nd).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than CamRon Fields, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points along with seven steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Jayden Boggess, who went 9 for 14 en route to 19 points and three steals.

Wyandotte's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Washington, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Atchison the next time they take the court. Wyandotte will host Atchison on Wednesday, while Washington will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
