Volleyball Recap: Aledo Starts Season with Win on the Road

Aledo had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Keller Indians by a score of 3-1. For the Bearcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

Aledo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aledo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophie Frank, who had 28 assists and seven digs. Another player making a difference was Kenley Hamilton, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Looking ahead, Aledo will be taking part in a tournament against Freeman at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. As for Keller, they will challenge Goliad at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
