Madison can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Kearny Komets. The Warhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Komets, too.

Madison had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Kearny lost, don't look at Lovely Lucy Alarcio. Despite the final result, she had eight aces and six digs.

Madison's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Kearny, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Coming up, Madison will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kearny, they will take on Olympian in a tournament on Friday.
