After a string of six wins, Alcorn Central's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 7-3 to the Nettleton Tigers. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Alcorn Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Koehlinger, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Alcorn Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Nettleton, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alcorn Central will face off against Walnut at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Nettleton, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Nettleton Tigers duke it out with Baldwyn Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
