Basketball Recap: Waynesboro Takes a Loss

Waynesboro lost against Stuarts Draft on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Waynesboro Little Giants took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stuarts Draft Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Little Giants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Cougars are ranked 124th).

Waynesboro's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Stuarts Draft, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

When Waynesboro and Stuarts Draft next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Waynesboro will try to stop Wilson Memorial's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stuarts Draft will face off against Staunton and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
