Basketball Game Preview: Longview Lobos vs. Rockwall Yellowjackets

Longview is 1-9 against Rockwall since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lobos will head out on the road to take on the Yellowjackets at 3:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Longview took a blow against Royse City, falling 87-45.

Meanwhile, Rockwall posted their closest victory since December 4, 2025 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Royse City 54-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.

Rockwall's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Longview, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

Longview ended up a good deal behind Rockwall in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, losing 56-40. Can the Lobos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
