Basketball Recap: Easley Comes Up Short

Easley played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Indian Land Warriors, falling 92-67. The Green Wave were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-24.

Michael Jones was his usual excellent self, going 11-for-20 on his way to 27 points in addition to five boards and four steals for Indian Land. Jones' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Sequel Patterson, who went 9-for-16 en route to 20 points.

Easley has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Indian Land and bumps their season record up to 24-3.

Easley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian Land, they will head out to challenge Fort Mill at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fort Mill will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Indian Land surely won't give up without a fight.
