Recap: Carolina Christian Lions vs. Hickory H Hawks
The Carolina Christian Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 72-33 loss at the hands of Hickory H. Carolina Christian lost against Hickory H in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 73-21 score last time.
Latrell Parks was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Keandr?e Mack was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Carolina Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Hickory H, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Walnut Grove Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Walnut Grove Christian is ranked 670th in South Carolina, while Carolina Christian is ranked 677th in North Carolina). As for Hickory H, they will be playing at home against Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
