Softball Game Preview: Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones vs. Daniel Boone Trailblazers

The Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones will face off against the Daniel Boone Trailblazers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Elizabethton is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Last Tuesday, Elizabethton made easy work of Sevier County and carried off a 13-2 win. Considering the Fighting Cyclones have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Daniel Boone beat Greeneville 8-5 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trailblazers.

Elizabethton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Daniel Boone, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
