Softball Recap: Brookhaven Has No Trouble Against Natchez

Brookhaven won the last time they faced Natchez and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers blew past the Bulldogs 19-2. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Addisyn Tucker made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Brookhaven got a big performance out of Kennedi Dickey, who scored three runs while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance also gave Dickey a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Jaziya Wilson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Brookhaven hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.

Brookhaven's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-10. As for Natchez, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

As of now, neither Brookhaven nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
