See the video above for a complete breakdown of this week's Xcellent 25 High School Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

Here's a look at developments that shaped this week's rankings:

IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) shut out Bishop Sullivan (Virginia Beach, Va.) 48-0 with another dominant performance to close out its 2017 season. The Ascenders finished 8-0 and won each game by at least two scores.

• No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana. Calif.) cruised past Vista Murrieta 49-7 in the nation's toughest postseason bracket — the CIF Southern Section Division 1. JT Daniels threw for three more touchdowns, giving him 39 on the year. A very talented Long Beach Poly (Calif.) team is up next for the Monarchs. All four Top 25-ranked teams in the Southern Section advanced to the quarterfinals.

• No. 5 Centennial (Corona, Calif.) held on for a 35-21 win against Gardena Serra to set up a second-round showdown against Murrieta Valley (Murietta, Calif.) in what might be ones of the highest-scoring games of the week. The Huskies are averaging nearly 60 points per game, while the Nighthawks are putting up over 40 points per contest.

• No. 7 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) knocked off Bishop Amat 35-21. DJ Uiagalelei had a big playoff debut throwing for 300-plus yards and three scores. Up next for the Braves is a 10-1 Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) team.

• No. 16 Mission Viejo (Calif.) survived a scare from Servite and pulled out a 38-36 win to improve to 11-0. Up next for the Diablos is another Trinity League opponent, Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.).
