Softball Recap: Ellsworth's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

After flying high against Amery on Thursday, Ellsworth came back down to earth. The Panthers took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hudson Raiders on Friday. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Delaney Johnson and Aaliyah Huppert stepped up to the plate in a big way. Johnson went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Huppert scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brinklee Graetz, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ellsworth fell to 5-1. As for Hudson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Ellsworth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-4 victory against Zumbrota-Mazeppa on the 14th. Hudson has also already played their next match (against Chippewa Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
