Baseball Recap: Pine Ridge Gets the Win

Pine Ridge won the last time they faced Mainland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Buccaneers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Jayden Huice was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Figueroa, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Pine Ridge's record now sits at 5-1. As for Mainland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Pine Ridge will head out to take on Mount Dora Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Mainland, they will venture away from home to square off against Father Lopez at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
