Softball Recap: Cazenovia Comes Up Short

Cazenovia lost against Marcellus back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lakers came up short against the Mustangs, falling 8-2. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cazenovia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caitee Fenton, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Fenton is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Cazenovia now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Marcellus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cazenovia will venture away from home to face off against Solvay at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marcellus, they will head out to take on Homer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
