Volleyball Recap: Addison Trail Comes Up Short

Addison Trail was the 2-1 winner over Cary-Grove when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Blazers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Lucy Wittenberg went supernova For Cary-Grove., getting 18 digs and eight aces. Those 18 digs gave Wittenberg a new career-high. Morgan Evelo was another key player, getting 19 assists and six digs.

Addison Trail has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for Cary-Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-23.

Coming up, Addison Trail is taking a road trip to face off against Berwyn/Cicero Morton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cary-Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Dundee-Crown at 5:30 p.m.
