Baseball Recap: Diamond Bar's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Diamond Bar's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the California Condors as they made off with a 9-2 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Brahmas as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Silas Swartz tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Diamond Bar let Jacob Smith and Matias Gallardo run wild. Smith went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Gallardo got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most RBI Smith has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan McNeil, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Diamond Bar's win bumped their record up to 6-22. As for California, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.

As of now, neither Diamond Bar nor the Condors have any future games scheduled.
