It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Richards had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Fayetteville Lions with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
While Richards won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-13, 25-19.
Despite the loss, Fayetteville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emily Keilers had seven digs and two aces.
