Baseball Recap: Barrington Extends Winning Streak to Three

Barrington entered their tilt with Yorkville on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Foxes. That's two games straight that the Fillies/Broncos have won by just one run.

Dylan Ignacek looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Roberts, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Cavaliero, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Barrington's record now sits at 4-1-1. As for Yorkville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barrington will welcome Central at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Barrington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Yorkville, they will be playing at home against Willowbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Yorkville's pitchers better be ready for this one: Willowbrook has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
