Wayne won the last time they faced Newark and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Reds. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Savannah Celso and Sam Ray did most of the damage at the plate: Celso went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Ray went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Eaton, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

The victory got Wayne back to even at 10-10. As for Newark, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

Wayne has already played their next contest, a 7-0 defeat against Palmyra-Macedon on the 23rd. As for Newark, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-2 loss against Pittsford on the 23rd.
