Basketball Recap: West Grand Mustangs vs. Rangely Panthers
West Grand was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 54-41 to the Rangely Panthers. One positive for the Mustangs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, West Grand saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sanjay Geffers posted 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Geffers has scored all season. Jared Gonzales was another key player, putting up seven points.
Rangely got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Bollinger out in front who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Bollinger a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Clay Allred, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points and seven steals.
West Grand's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Rangely, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
West Grand wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 43-25 loss against Hayden on the 14th. As for Rangely, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-46 defeat against Ouray on the 13th.
