Baseball Recap: Varela Gets the Win

Varela got themselves on the board against West Broward on Tuesday, but West Broward never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Broward Bobcats, sneaking past 1-0. That's two games straight that the Vipers have won by just one run.

Andy Espinoza looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit while striking out six over four innings pitched.

The victory made it two in a row for Varela and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Varela will face off against Keys Gate at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Broward, they are taking a road trip to challenge Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
