Basketball Recap: Montello Takes a Loss

Montello lost against Fall River back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Montello Hilltoppers took an 89-78 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fall River Pirates.

Montello's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Fall River, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-9.

Montello and Fall River could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Montello will square off against Cambria-Friesland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday down 242 places (448 vs. 206). Similarly, Fall River (ranked 325th) will meet Pardeeville (ranked 92nd) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
