Recap: Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats vs. Kenedy Lions

The Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats entered their tilt with the Kenedy Lions with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Skidmore-Tynan walked away with a 55-48 victory over Kenedy on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Skidmore-Tynan also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

It was another big night for Cole Rivers, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cisco Solis, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Skidmore-Tynan's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Kenedy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Skidmore-Tynan will head out on the road to face off against Refugio at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Refugio is on a three-game streak of home wins, Skidmore-Tynan a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Kenedy will take on Woodsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Woodsboro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
