Softball Recap: Berkner Takes a Loss

Berkner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Princeton Panthers.

Jasmyne Bell was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

Even though they lost, Berkner hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in four consecutive matches.

Berkner's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Princeton, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Coincidentally, Berkner and Princeton will both be playing Mesquite the next time they take the field. Berkner will host Mesquite at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Princeton will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
